Southern Dalmatia is a tourist region on the southern part of Croatian Adriatic seashore located between Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina at the north, and Montenegro at the south. The main city in the region is Dubrovnik, which is an economic, cultural and historic center of Southern Dalmatia. Dubrovnik is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, and recently it has become a popular destination for jet setters.
Besides Dubrovnik, Southern Dalmatia has a lot to offer: a medieval town of Korčula, often refereed to as a small Dubrovnik, Elafiti islands - Koločep, Lopud and Šipan, a chain of islands between the Pelješac peninsula and the Lapad peninsula which used to be a favorite place for summer residences of the Dubrovnik aristocracy. Other destinations in the region are island of Korčula with Lumbrada, Vela Luka, Blato, Prižba, Brna, and Korčula; the island of Lastovo, Pelješac peninsula, Cavtat, Konavle and the national park Mljet on the island of Mljet.
