Krk Island

Krk Island is situated in Kvarner region of Croatian Adriatic. Krk island is located south from Rijeka, the regional cultural and economic center, west from the island of Cres, and north from the islands Prvić and Rab. Krk island has a very good traffic connection to the mainland because of it's bridge and newly built motorways.

Most popular tourist destinations on the island are Krk, Malinska, Njivice, Punat and Baška. Main town on the island is Krk, a city and port on the western side of the island, 25 kilometres from Krk Bridge. A one-time Roman municipality and centre of the Frankopans, the dukes of Krk. This is the administrative, political, economic and religious centre of the island.
